Get your boots on and swing your partner 'round!
Join us for an evening of lively square dancing accompanied by a talented 4-piece band, The Tax Free String Band and skilled and entertaining caller, Dane Summers!
Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned dancer, don't miss our flatfoot dance lessons starting at 6pm sharp. Then, from 6:30pm to 8:30pm, it's time to kick up your heels and enjoy the music under the open sky. Please remember we'll be dancing outdoors on gravel, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes for a night of fun. There will also be a cake walk!
The winery will stay open late!
We operate on a sliding scale entry fee ($5-$15), ensuring everyone can join in the festivities. All entry fees directly support the band.
This is a family-friendly event. In the event of rain, the dance will be rescheduled.

Join us at Botanist and Barrel in Cedar Grove for an afternoon celebrating the newest DéFi wine releases.
We’ll be pouring flights of our newest DéFi vintages, including some brand-new wines, alongside fresh vintages of your favorites. You’ll get to try the 2025 DéFi Muscadine–Malbec Pét-Nat, a first of its kind blending muscadine and vinifera grapes.
We’ll also be opening select back vintages, offering folks a rare chance to taste past and present side by side.
To take it up a notch, our friends from Roses Dumplings (in Durham) are rolling through with onigiri pairings, so every glass has something delicious riding shotgun.
Come hungry, come curious, and come ready to discover your next obsession.

Explore the world of carnivorous plants, from North American bogs to tropical rainforests, during this Drink and Think afternoon at Botanist and Barrel.
We will have our regular cider and wine menu plus kid friendly non alcoholic options, including our NA ciders, so the whole family can join in.
Author and nurseryman Kenny Coogan runs the largest carnivorous plant nursery in Winston Salem, shipping bug eating plants to growers all over the country. He will walk us through Venus flytraps, sundews, butterworts, tropical pitcher plants, and more, with plenty of time for questions.
After the talk, you will be able to shop a wide range of carnivorous plants to take home, with Kenny on hand to help you pick the right one and keep it happy.
Admission is 5 dollars and benefits the nonprofit International Carnivorous Plant Society. Come drink cider or NA sips, learn something wild, and leave with a plant that bites back.
